Youth Services was established to address the needs of Proviso Township Youth and to provide a range of non-duplicating programs that are preventive, not corrective. We are committed to serving youth of all ages. We provide and connect youth to educational, recreational and employment opportunities.
Proviso Township High Schools District 209, established in 1910, is located in western Cook County, Illinois, USA near Chicago. Its headquarters are in Forest Park. The district encompasses most of Proviso Township, excluding the extreme southern portion.
With 70,000 acres, The Forest Preserves of Cook County provide opportunities to connect people to nature through recreation, education and leisure activities. We have 6 nature centers, (1 in the Proviso Area), 5 campgrounds, a kayak program in Maywood, walking trails, tons of programs for all ages, youth employment opportunities.
