Welcome to Strengthening Proviso Youth, NFP

Ensuring that all youth grow up in a safe, supportive and thriving community.

Our Story

How it all started...

A group of adults who were committed to helping the youth of Proviso Township become college and career ready came together to form Strengthening Proviso Youth.

This group would go on to engage in a number of community conversations that inspired a series of events including the formation a parent university as well as a steering committee both comprised of community stakeholders.

Parent University went on to conduct a number of parent empowerment workshops throughout Proviso Township. The steering committee’s work included conducting a township wide asset profile survey and served an instrumental role in the formation of Strengthening Proviso Youth as a non-profit organization.
