We acknowledge that these are difficult times for you, our kids, and the families of Proviso Township. This time of the year is traditionally reserved for proms and commencement/ graduation ceremonies. Instead, we were introduced to an unfortunate and unforeseen set of circumstances that seemingly ended many of those traditions. We find comfort in knowing that Proviso is a resilient community whose history is filled with overcoming adversity. Over the past few months we have witnessed the resolve of a community rooted in wholesome values such as innovation, charity, and selfless volunteerism. Proviso continues to persevere in the face of the many odds that stand against it. We salute you and all those who helped our community maintain during this crisis.
Strengthening Proviso Youth, NFP is working diligently to navigate the new realities brought on by the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19). The safety and well being of our youth, staff and the Proviso Township community at large has been and will always be our utmost priority. In light of current events, our organization has made certain changes that further fulfill our mission of ensuring that all youth grow up in a safe, supportive, and thriving community. Below are highlighted actions taken over the past few months.
We believe that these actions support the Governor's current Stay-At-Home Order and Social Distancing guidelines. It is our intention to engage with our youth and youth-serving organizations in creative ways and optimize our impact using research-based and time-tested methods. We are looking forward to resuming programs like Career Connect to support youth in identifying job skill development and employment opportunities. We are also excited about The Proviso Asset Champion Network Reboot that is scheduled for July 1, 2020. Our team will be available to answer any questions you may have.
